CompVault is built and operated by 8888 Media LLC ("we," "us"). We built CompVault to be private by design. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.
1The short version
- CompVault does not require an account, and never asks for your casino players-club login.
- CompVault does not read your email or inbox.
- Your offers are stored on your device and synced privately across your own Apple devices through iCloud/CloudKit — we cannot read them.
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
2Information you provide
CompVault stores the offer information you add — by scanning a mailer or entering it manually — such as casino name, offer type, dates, dollar values, and your own notes. This data lives in your private iCloud account and on your devices.
3Scanning a mailer
When you scan or upload a photo of a mailer, the image is sent from the app to our own server (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards it to a third-party AI vision provider (Anthropic's Claude) that reads the offer details out of it and returns only the extracted text to your device.
Because real casino mailers often print your name and player-account number directly on them, scanning sends that personal information off your device to this provider. Our own server does not store the image. Neither we nor the provider use your images to train AI models, and the provider retains them only for a limited time for safety and abuse review before deleting them.
4Scan limits
When you scan, our server records an anonymous identifier for your Apple ID — or for your device, if you're not signed in to iCloud — along with a count of how many scans you've made that month. That's the only way the monthly fair-use limit can follow you rather than reset every time the app is reinstalled.
This is used solely to apply the fair-use limits described in our Terms of Service. It is not used to build a profile of you, is not sold, and is not shared for advertising. It does not include your offers, your images, or your name. These counts are kept only as long as needed to apply the limits, and are deleted automatically afterward.
5Payments
CompVault Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment-card details.
6Your control
You can delete any offer at any time inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device; iCloud data can be managed from your device's iCloud settings.
